Today Justin and I are feeling sick. Justin has a cough and sore throat; I am very tired and I have a stomach ache coupled with a headache. It would not surprise me if Justin also has a headache.
Luckily, when Justin's symptoms began to worsen last night and medicine was nowhere to be found in the house, I had some Benadryl in my purse. I always keep some handy in case someone breaks out into hives, gets stung by a bee, or if they just need it for a stuffed up head like Justin did. Not keeping medicine around is something that I cannot even fathom as I ALWAYS keep some for almost every generalized (and a few specialised) malady. But, then again, I'm not exactly a picture of perfect health. I like to be prepared and there have been many times that neighbors or visitors have needed something NOW and I've had it on hand. It's kind of a pride thing-- not only am I the local home-based pharmacist, I am also a walking pharmacy because I keep so many pills in my purse for those "just in case" moments.
It's also been quite stormy here. The rain has made everything wet and miserable. Thankfully, the rain seems to have finally stopped. I think that if it does start up again it will become snow as it is now in the 30's.
I would like a little snow.
